(WBF) titles on Saturday, September
27, in Fethiye, Turkey.
In a battle of undefeated
contenders, local hero Kubilay Alcu
captured the vacant WBF world
Cruiserweight title with a unanimous
decision over Brazilian Luciano
Falcao.
Judges Ayse Unal, Aydin Yener and
Nazan Savas scored it 116-111,
118-109 and 116-111 respectively.
Kubilay Alcu improved his
professional record to 19-0 (14).
Falcao, a former Brazilian national
champion, is now 11-1 (8).
Azerbaijani veteran Taryel Jafarov
had little difficulty dispatching
Klismans Bolano from Venezuela in
four rounds to win the vacant WBF
International Heavyweight title.
Winning his seventh straight fight,
Jafarov takes his record to 41-8
(39). Bolano goes to 8-2 (7).
