												World Boxing Federation (WBF)
												Womens World Light Flyweight
												Champion Anne Sophie Da Costa
will defend her title for the
first time on Saturday May 28 at
												the Salle Frederique Bronquard
												in Tinqueux, France, only a
												stones-throw from her hometown
of Reims, when she takes on
												Soledad Macedo from Uruguay.

Da Costa, 20-2 (9), made her big
												breakthrough in 2012 when she
												captured the WBF World
												Srawweight crown. Last November
												she became a two-division world
												titlist, winning the WBF Light
												Flyweight title by stopping
												Thailand´s Ploynapa Sakrungrueng
												in five rounds.

												The 33-year-old champion has
left nothing to chance in her
training camp leading up to the
												fight with Macedo, and has
												reportedly sparred almost 140
												rounds with various sparring
												partners, including former WBF
												World Flyweight Champion Amira
												Hamzaoui.

												With a record of 13-11-1 (4),
												Soledad “La Negra” Macedo (33)
												doesn’t immediately appear to be
a world class fighter, based on
												the numbers, but nothing could
												be further from the truth.
												Having mostly lost to top-notch
												opposition, she is a two-time
												Uruguayan national champion, and
												three times challenged for world
												championships.

In her most recent outing, this
past March, she proved her class
by moving up to Super Flyweight
												to win the Uruguayan national
												title with a unanimous decision
												over another former world
												title-challenger in Stefany
												Bizquiazo, and she travels to
												France full of confidence that
												she can finally become world
												champion in her fourth attempt.

Da Costa vs. Macedo is the main
event of a show promoted by
												William Guillaume, and will be
												preceded by four additional
												professional fights and six
												amateur bouts. Usually a big
draw in and around Reims, Da
												Costa is expected to have
												massive support on the night.
