World Boxing Federation (WBF) world
Super Bantamweight champion
Phannarai Netisri, 18-0 (6), moves
down in weight to fight for the
vacant WBF world Bantamweight title
on May 1 in Hamburg.
The Germany-based Thai will face
Lena Venjacob, 7-1 (6), in the main
event of “Rumble At The Reeperbahn”,
promoted by Boxen im Norden at
Grosse Freiheit 36 in Hamburg´s
famous St. Pauli quarter.
The card will also feature local man
Alexander Pavlov, 23-6 (17), who
will take on an opponent to be
confirmed for the vacant WBF world
Welterweight title.
Pavlov is also coming down in
weight, having challenged
unsuccessfully for the WBF world
Super Middleweight title last May.
Finally, Britain´s Steve “Drago”
Robinson, 7-3 (4), will take on
Angelo Venjakob, 8-4 (5), for the
vacant WBF International Heavyweight
title.
Both men will be aiming to resurrect
their career after some tough
losses, and it should be an
explosive encounter.
