Thailand-based Kazakh Angelina Lukas became the World Boxing Federation (WBF) Womens World Super Flyweight champion on Thursday, April 25, when she defeated Indian co-challenger Mamta Singh in Bangkok.

27-year-old Lukas was a level above Singh, and set the tone from the start, punching hard and frequently to both body and head.

In round five the out-gunned Singh basically raised her hands in surrender at the same time as referee Sipho Ndongeni from South Africa decided he had seen enough, stopping the fight at 1:07 of the round.

Lukas captured her third world championship, having won the UBO Super Flyweight title in 2022 and the WIBA Bantamweight title earlier this year.

With the victory she improved her professional record to 9-1 (5), while Singh (27) drops to 5-2 (2).
