We are sad to report that the World
											Boxing Federation (WBF), and boxing,
has lost one of its nicest and most
genuine men in Eddie Marshall from
											South Africa.

											WBF President Howard Goldberg:

											“The
WBF Head of Africa Eddie Marshall
											passed away this morning after
battling an illness over the past
											two years.

Eddie was an incredible man -
											knowledgeable, wise, generous, kind
and one of the most loyal men I have
											ever met.

											His contribution to boxing spanned
over 5 decades - he was an
											outstanding referee and judge who
officiated in over 100 world title
											fights.

Eddie was a community man, always
giving to those in need. But to me
personally, Eddie was a friend and
											brother. We spoke virtually every
day until he was unable to
											communicate due to his illness.

Eddie and I shared so many memorable
adventures over the past 30 odd
years. But most of all Eddie was
											respected worldwide. Everyone
admired and respected Eddie for who
											he was.

The WBF conveys its condolences to
Eddie's family for their huge loss -
											Eddie is now at peace.

											Never to be forgotten!” |
