World Boxing Federation (WBF) International Light Heavyweight Champion Musa Yamak from Germany tragically passed away on Saturday, May 14. He was 38 years old.

Yamak was taking part in a non title-fight against Ugandan Hamza Wandera in Garching, Germany, when he suddenly collapsed before the start of round three.

It has been reported that he suffered a heart-attack, and that he had not been hit with any punches of significance up until that point.

Yamak won the WBF title last November, stopping Siarhei Huliakevich in seven rounds, taking his professional record to 8-0 (8).

Everyone at the World Boxing Federation (WBF) are deeply saddened, and would like to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Musa Yamak.

Rest in Peace Champion!
